UnionBank Reaches Out to Payatas

True to UnionBanker's credo of being dynamic and caring people, Christmas was more meaningful in 2001. UnionBank with ANCOP-Gawad Kalinga, a foundation that works for sustainable community development in depressed areas, joined hands to help 53 identified families in Payatas.

Christmas came early for these families as last November, volunteers from both UnionBank and ANCOP conducted a medical mission to respond to their health needs, not just bringing doctors and dentists, but providing free medicines, too. On December, the same group in Payatas was treated to a Christmas Party. Kids and their parents had fun with games, enjoyed simple presents and the Jollibee meal prepared for them. These are just initial steps, as UnionBank has a long- term commitment to these families. It will be conducting more activities to truly respond to the needs of their beneficiaries and provide them a life with dignity and respect.

Christmas @ UnionBank was being together, celebrating as a family, sharing what we have with those with very little and truly caring for people. All these, after all, make for the true essence of Christmas.
