As of December 2013, the Bank has a total of 2,637 regular employees. As of December 2014, it increased t0 2,717.
It is of strategic importance for UnionBank to build a winning culture of experts and to ensure a robust leadership pipeline. The Bank's considerable budget for training has remained intact, despite challenges that have come our way.
Training is delivered through our corporate university. All training programs planned every year are based on the training and developmental needs of the Bank. Our training team ensures that learning and development needs are met by regularly meeting with the Business Heads to understand performance and competency gaps.
Today, 3,341 UnionBankers have gone through the University doors compared to around 3,252 trained in 2014, 2,940 in 2013 and 2,152 in 2012. We also increased the average classroom training hours per participant, from 12 hours in 2012, 15 hours in 2013 and to 27.5 hours in 2014.
