Hear the bells sing at the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Divine Mercy
The bank recently donated a carillon (or singing) bell to the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Mandaluyong City. The institution is a long-time client of the bank’s Boni branch. The UnionBank Bell completed the 14-bell Carillon of the Shrine and started singing last April 3 on the Feast of the Divine Mercy.
The donation came at the perfect time as 2016 marks the Shrine’s 20th anniversary. The Shrine has also been chosen as one of the churches that will be assigned a Holy Door. The Holy Door symbolizes God’s openness to welcome everyone in mercy and compassion for their pilgrimages.
The carillon bells are rung before every mass at the Shrine.
