UnionBank wins Anvil Awards
UnionBank won two anvil awards – a Gold and a Silver – during the 51st Anvil Awards last February 26 at the Rizal Ballroom, Shangri-la Hotel, Makati City.
The Bank won Gold for Lumina Pandit, a collaboration with the University of Santo Tomas Miguel de Benavides Library and University Archives that aims to conserve, preserve, digitize, and publish centuries-old books and documents which showcase the rich history and values of the Filipinos.
Lumina Pandit also helped reveal new information on the richness of Baybayin and the pre-Tagalog dialect, evident in some of the rare books and documents stored in the library of the 400-year-old university.
UnionBank also won a Silver Anvil in Specialized PR Programs specifically for the Issue Management or Crisis Communications subcategory, for its Stop the Scammers campaign, which narrated how UnionBank maintained its good reputation in the midst of issues.
This campaign also featured UnionBank’s commitment to protect its customers through its continued efforts to educated the public about online fraud, ATM skimming and phishing. The campaign’s highlight, however, was the arrest of credit card scammer teams in Quezon City and Laguna. Working closely with the authoriries, the Bank’s Quick Response Team led the arrest.
The Anvil Awards honors the best public relations campaigns and tools of top companies and PR agencies.
