REWARDS PROGRAM

Only UnionBank Credit Cardholders whose accounts are in current and active status can earn privilege points and redeem reward items from the UnionBank Credit Cards Rewards Catalogue.

  1. Below is the spend requirement to earn 1 point per card type:

  2. All purchases at or payments to establishments including but not limited to gasoline stations, drugstores and supermarkets are eligible to earn Privilege Points.
  3. Charges not eligible for Privilege Points include but are not limited to annual membership fees, program fees, cash advances, finance charges, late payment charges, interest charges, Bill Manager utility enrollments, government charges, disputed transactions, card replacement fees, and other charges related to Fast Track redemption options of an item.
  4. Privilege Points accrue in the Principal Cardholder's name only but points may also be earned through supplementary card usage.
  5. Privilege Points are non-transferrable.
  6. Privilege Points earned on other UnionBank Credit Card accounts under the same Cardholder’s name cannot be used or combined for redemption.
  7. Privilege Points earned shall not expire for as long as the account remains current and active except for rewards of UnionBank OmniPass Credit Card which expires after 5 years.
  1. Cardholder has the following redemption options:
    1. Regular Points Option: Redeem an item by simply applying corresponding accumulated Privilege Points needed for that item.
    2. Fast Track Option: Redeem an item by accumulating the minimum number of Regular Points required and charging the specified Cash requirement to your UnionBank Credit Card.
  2. Redemption can be made via:
    1. Online
      Procedure:
      1. Log-on to www.unionbankph.com (Click on “Credit Cards”, “Rewards” and choose your card type).
      2. Check current Statement of Account for Privilege Points availability.
      3. Choose desired reward item through the UnionBank Credit Cards Rewards Catalogue.
      4. Fill-out the online rewards redemption form and click the “Submit” button.
      5. UnionBank Customer Service (CS) will call cardholder to validate cardholder’s identity and process redemption request.
    2. UnionBank Customer Service
      Procedure:
      1. Cardholder calls CS at (02) 841-8600 or Domestic Toll Free 1-800-1888-2277.
      2. Cardholder must take note of the Rewards Item code, Rewards type and preferred establishment branch of pick-up (if applicable) before calling CS.
      3. CS shall validate cardholder’s identity and process rewards redemption request.

        NOTE: For credit card types with Airline Ticket, Hotels, Packages Reward, cardholder is required to get the total cost (including taxes and charges) of desired travel reward item from the partner’s website or from the specific URL indicated. Then, use the Travel Reward Calculator to check on the points needed to redeem it.
  3. Redeemed reward items are subject to the following:
    1. Cash Rebate and Annual Fee Waiver
      • Cash Rebate and Annual Fee Waiver redemptions will be posted to cardholder’s account after two (2) or three (3) banking days.
    2. Ayala Malls e-Gift Certificate (Ayala Malls e-GC), SM Gift Pass and SM Movie Card
      1. CS shall provide the cardholder a Reference Number to facilitate redemption. If cardholder forgets the Reference Number or if the Reference Number does not match file of Rewards Program partner, cardholder need to call CS at (02) 841-8600 or Domestic Toll Free 1-800-1888-2277. UnionBank shall validate cardholder’s identity before giving the same reference number to the cardholder.
      2. CS shall inform the cardholder of the following requirements needed when claiming the reward item:
        1. Photocopy of any valid identification card with picture
        2. Presentation of the UnionBank Credit Card
        3. Reference Number
        4. If cardholder will send a representative:
          1. Authorization letter from the cardholder
          2. Photocopy of any valid identification card with picture of cardholder
          3. Photocopy of cardholder’s UnionBank Credit Card (not to be given/surrendered to Rewards Program partner’s staff/personnel/representative)
          4. Valid ID of representative
          5. Reference number provided by UnionBank
      3. Can be picked up in the following redemption centers depending on the day the cardholder made the redemption request.
        1. For Ayala Malls e-GC - Ayala Malls Concierge - Glorietta

        2. For SM Gift Pass and SM Movie Card:
          • SM Gift Pass – any SM Department Store Customer Service
          • SM Movie Card – any SM Cinema Admin Office of your preferred SM Cinema branch (Monday to Sunday, from 11am to 6pm)

      4. Cardholders are given 60 days from the day of availability to pick-up the SM Gift Pass, SM Movie Card or the Ayala Malls e-GC. For Ayala Malls e-GC, cardholders are given an additional grace period of 15 days to claim the Ayala Malls e-GC. Beyond this, rewards will be discarded and no privilege points reinstatement will be allowed.
      5. The use of the Ayala Malls e-GC, SM Gift Pass and SM Movie Card is governed by the terms and conditions of the respective establishments.
    3. Airline Ticket via Cebu Pacific
      • UnionBank Customer Service will book the cardholder’s preferred flight/travel package upon confirmation.
      • The e-tickets/e-vouchers will be sent to the cardholder via email / fax within the day upon successful booking. At this point, the e-tickets/e-vouchers are subject to partner airline’s terms and conditions.
    4. PAL Mabuhay Miles (Applicable to Gold, Platinum, Miles+ Platinum, OmniPass and Titanium Credit Cardholders only)
      • UnionBank Credit Card Privilege Points transferred to cardholder’s Mabuhay Miles Account will be credited based on the following schedule:

    5. Cebu Parklane Gift Certificate (Applicable to Cebu Parklane Credit Cardholders only)

    6. The North Face Gift Certificate (Applicable to The North Face Credit Cardholders only)
      1. CS shall provide the cardholder a Reference Number to facilitate redemption. If cardholder forgets the Reference Number or if the Reference Number does not match file of Rewards Program partner, cardholder need to call UnionBank Customer Service at (02) 841-8600 or Domestic Toll Free 1-800-1888-2277. UnionBank shall validate cardholder’s identity before giving the same reference number to the cardholder.
      2. CS shall inform the cardholder of the following requirements needed when claiming the reward item:
        1. Photocopy of any valid identification card with picture
        2. Presentation of The North Face Credit Card
        3. Reference Number
        4. If cardholder will send a representative:
          1. Authorization letter from the cardholder
          2. Photocopy of any valid identification card with picture of cardholder
          3. Photocopy of cardholder’s UnionBank Credit Card (not to be given/surrendered to Rewards Program partner’s staff/personnel/representative)
          4. Valid ID of representative
          5. Reference number provided by UnionBank
      3. The North Face Gift Certificate (TNF GC) can be redeemed at the following TNF Stores depending on the day the cardholder made the redemption request:

      4. The TNF GC will have a validity period of 12 months or until its specified date of validity.
      5. Cardholders are given 60 days from the day of availability to pick-up the TNF GC. In case of failure to pick-up the TNF GC within 60 days, cardholders will be given an additional grace period of 120 days to claim the TNF GC. Beyond this, rewards will be discarded and no privilege points reinstatement will be allowed.
      6. The use of the TNF GC is governed by the terms and conditions of The North Face.
    7. Burgoo Gift Certificate (Applicable to Burgoo Credit Cardholders only)
      1. CS shall provide the cardholder a Reference Number to facilitate redemption. If cardholder forgets the Reference Number or if the Reference Number does not match file of Rewards Program partner, cardholder need to call UnionBank Customer Service at (02) 841-8600 or Domestic Toll Free 1-800-1888-2277. UnionBank shall validate cardholder’s identity before giving the same reference number to the cardholder.
      2. CS shall inform the cardholder of the following requirements needed when claiming the reward item:
        1. Photocopy of any valid identification card with picture
        2. Presentation of the Burgoo Credit Card
        3. Reference Number
        4. If cardholder will send a representative:
          1. Authorization letter from the cardholder
          2. Photocopy of any valid identification card with picture of cardholder
          3. Photocopy of cardholder’s UnionBank Credit Card (not to be given/surrendered to Rewards Program partner’s staff/personnel/representative)

      4. The Burgoo GC will have a validity period of 3 months from the time they are claimed.
      5. Cardholders are given 60 days from the day of availability to pick-up the Burgoo GC. In case of failure to pick-up the Burgoo GC within 60 days, cardholders will be given an additional grace period of 120 days to claim the Burgoo GC. Beyond this, rewards will be discarded and no privilege points reinstatement will be allowed.
      6. The use of the Burgoo GC is governed by the terms and conditions of Burgoo.
  1. A dispute on the number of Privilege Points reflected on the Cardholder's billing should be reported within 30 days upon receipt of the billing. Otherwise, the same is considered true and correct.
  2. Only Principal Cardholders can exercise the right of redemption for Privilege Points earned through supplementary card usage.
  3. The UnionBank Credit Cards Rewards Catalogue may change without prior notice. All redemption requests from the Catalogue are subject to confirmation by the Cardholder and approval of the bank.
  4. Approval of rewards redemption by the bank is subject to Cardholder's privilege points and rewards item availability.
  5. UnionBank Credit Cards reserves the right, without need of any prior notice, to terminate the Rewards Program or de-list any reward item in the event that they become unavailable or change the expiration period for Privilege Points.
  6. UnionBank Credit Cards reserves the right to discontinue or terminate any existing arrangement with program / merchant partners for the redemption of Privilege Points, without need of prior notice.
  7. UnionBank Credit Cards reserves the right to revise the Regular Points / Fast Track Points requirements at any time without prior notice to or consent of Cardholders to its program / merchant partners.
  8. The use of the redeemed rewards items shall be subject to the terms and conditions of UnionBank's program partners, service providers, merchant / establishment partners providing the products / services.

 

CASHBACK / REBATE PROGRAM

Only UnionBank Credit Cardholders whose accounts are in current and active status can earn cashback/ rebates.

  1. The principal cardholder & its supplementary cardholder(s) are qualified to earn cashback/ rebate however the cashback/ rebate will be credited only to the principal cardholder’s account.
  2. Total cashback/ rebate for the month will be reflected in Cardholder’s next Statement of Account.
  3. Cashbacks/ Rebates are non-transferable & non-convertible to cash.
  4. Qualified spend, rebate amount, other terms & conditions are as follows:

    • The maximum rebate a customer can earn is P 10,000 per calendar year.  When the cardholder reaches this limit, he is no longer eligible to earn rebates.  The cardholder will be entitled to earn rebates again on the following calendar year.

    • Purchases at Suy Sing outlets

    Cashback MasterCard Credit Card
    • Cashbacks are computed on the total qualified retail purchases.
    • Cashback will be reversed for cancelled or disputed purchases.
    • The following transactions are not included in the computation of cashback:
      1. Fees & charges
        1. Annual fee(s)
        2. Interest & late charges
        3. Cash advance fee
        4. Overlimit fee
      2. Purchases for business transactions such as:
        1. Wholesale – warehouse clubs, online wholesale stores and similar merchants
        2. Fleet – fuel, service, consumables and other expenses related to the maintenance of vehicles for commercial purposes
        3. Distribution - pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, dealers, networking or multi-level marketing.
        4. Other purchases that may be deemed as business transactions

      4. Recurring bills enrolled in Bills Manager
    • UnionBank reserves the right to forfeit the cashback if determined that the cardholder has abused or violated the provisions stated in this terms & conditions.
    • UnionBank may at any time, amend the terms and conditions stated herein.
