1.    What are the other fees that I can be charged with?
Please refer to the Terms and Conditions Governing the Issuance and Use of the UnionBank Visa Card insert for the  list of fees and charges.

2.    How much is the interest and when do I incur this?
Interest rate is at 3.5% per month computed based on your average daily balance.  
Interest rate charges occur in 2 cases:
(i) If you pay only the minimum amount due, the outstanding balance will be charged.
(ii) If you pay any amount between the total amount due and the minimum amount due, the outstanding balance will be charged.

3.    How do I make a cash advance?
Cash advance transactions can be done over-the-counter through any UnionBank branch nationwide or through any UnionBank and MegaLink ATM nationwide.

4.    What are the payment channels in settling my UnionBank Credit Card Bill?
You may pay your UnionBank Credit Card Bills over the counter at any UnionBank Branch, drop payment at numerous UnionBank ATMs, through thousands of Megalink (including UnionBank) and BancNet ATMs nationwide, via www.bancnetonline.com if you are a BancNet ATM cardholder. If you are a UnionBank depositor, pay through Auto Debit Arrangement or online at www.unionbankph.com.

5.    What happens if my payment due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or a holiday?
Payment must be made on or before the due date to avoid late payment fees. If your payment Due Date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, your due date becomes the last banking day before the holiday or weekend.

6.    If my due date falls on a weekend, can I make a check payment on the next banking day without incurring interest?
Since check payments are subject to clearing, cardholders should pay three banking days before their due date. Otherwise, finance and late charges shall be incurred.

7.    Does UnionBank Credit Card have an Installment Payment system?
UnionBank Credit Cards features “Lights”, an installment facility that allows you to purchase high-ticket items like appliances, furniture, equipment, jewelries and others  from establishments at lowered interest or 0% interest on  3, 6, 9, 12 or 18 monthly installments. Any single or combined minimum purchase of P3,000 entitles you to the Lights Installment Facility.

Log-on to www.unionbankph.com, click on “Credit Cards”, “Installment Program” or “Promos” to view list of installment partners.
It may delight you to know that any high-ticket item you purchase using your UnionBank Credit Card on a “straight” transaction may be converted into the same easy installment terms. Call us at 8418600 anytime for installment conversion of your retail purchases.

8.    How do I know if my card earns rewards points and how many rewards points per spend?
Below is the list of card types that earn rewards points and spending requirement to earn 1 point:

9.    How do I replace an expired credit card?
The card remains valid until the last day of the month indicated in the card and shall be automatically replaced by the bank at its sole discretion.

10.    How do I increase my credit limit?
You must be a card member of good standing for at least a year. Then, submit a written request to increase your credit limit and attach your proof of income.

11.     Who are qualified for a supplementary card and how many supplementary cards can I enroll?
Share the privilege of your UnionBank Credit to as many qualified members of your family and friends, who are between 14 to 60 years old.

12.    How do I access my billing statements, account balance, etc. through the internet?
a.  Log on to www.unionbankph.com and click Log-in to your Visa account or Access your UnionBank Credit Card Account
b.  Your Username is your 16 digit card number.
c.  Your initial password is the last 5-digit of your 16-digit card number.  You will immediately be required to change this to your preferred password.
