  8. The cardholder may only win once during the promo. In case the winner will be drawn more than once during a particular draw date, the winner will get the bigger prize.  If he/she has already won in a particular draw, all other raffle entries of the raffle winner shall be removed from the succeeding draws.
  9. Non-winning entries of a qualified customer from the previous draw date shall be carried over to the succeeding draw dates until he/she won or until the end of promo period.

  16. The 20% tax on prizes exceeding to PHP 10,000.00 and any other expenses in relation to the prizes shall be shouldered by the winner.

MasterCard Extra 10% Cash Back

The UnionBank CashBack Platinum MasterCard Extra 10% Cash Back promo

Terms and Conditions

  1. The UnionBank CashBack Platinum MasterCard Extra 10% Cash Back promo (the “promo”) will run from October 1 to December 31, 2017 (the “promo period”).
  2. The promo is open to all new-to-bank applicants:
    1. who apply for a UnionBank CashBack Platinum MasterCard (the “CashBack MasterCard”) within the promo period;
    2. whose applications were received with complete documents and requirements by UnionBank of the Philippines; and c. whose applications were subsequently approved.
  3. A new-to-bank applicant is defined as an individual who does not have any existing principal UnionBank Credit Card within the last six (6) months at the time of application.
  4. The newly approved new-to-bank principal CashBack MasterCard credit cardholder (the “cardholder”) shall be entitled to receive 10% cash back credits or P2,000 cash credits upon charging a single or accumulated valid retail spend worth P20,000 to the newly approved credit card within 60 days from date of approval. For purposes of the promo, recurring bills enrolled in Bill Manager, Balance Transfer, Call for Cash, transactions converted to Retail Conversion Installment Plan, non-personal transactions, disputed transactions, credit card fees and charges are not considered valid retail spends under this promo.
  5. Once the cardholder is qualified, he/she will be receiving the P2,000 cash back credits based on the following schedules:

  6. Upon awarding of P2,000 cash back credits, cardholder will receive an email from UnionBank informing them that the cash back amount has been credited to their card account.
  7. The cardholder can only qualify one (1) time. If he/she was already awarded the P2,000 cash back credits, cardholder cannot qualify anymore. 
  8. The P2,000 cash back credits shall be reflected in the next billing cycle after the date of cash back crediting.
  9. The qualified cardholder will continue to earn 1.5% cash back on his/her P20,000 qualified spend as part of the card benefits of the CashBack MasterCard.
  10. The qualified cardholder must maintain his/her CashBack MasterCard active and in good standing for at least twenty four (24) months from date of awarding of the P2,000 cash back credits (the “holding period”). If, at any time during the holding period, the qualified cardholder’s account is cancelled, the P2,000 cash credits will be charged back to the account of the cardholder.
  11. The qualified cardholder must maintain his/her CashBack MasterCard account current and active during the holding period.
  12. The issuance and use of the newly approved CashBack MasterCard shall be bound by the UnionBank CashBack Platinum MasterCard and UnionBank Credit Card Terms and Conditions.
  13. This promo cannot be used in conjunction with other UnionBank Credit Card acquisition promos.
  14. In case of dispute with respect to cardholder’s eligibility, coverage of date, fulfillment, and promo related issues, etc. UnionBank’s decision shall prevail with the concurrence of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
  15. Employees of UnionBank of the Philippines, and other third-party agencies directly involved on this promo, and their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity, are disqualified from availing of the promo.

  7. Redemption of Raffle Prizes:
    1. Winners can claim their prizes at Credit Cards Marketing, 20/F UnionBank Plaza, Meralco Avenue corner Onyx and Sapphire Sts., Ortigas Center, Pasig City (during office hours).
    2. The prizes shall be awarded to the winners upon their submission of the following documents from the receipt of the notification mail:
      1. Photocopy of the notification mail (and/or show of SMS);
      2. Photocopy of a valid ID with photo (ex. Passport, Company ID with photo and signature, Driver's License, SSS ID, Voter's ID);
      3. UnionBank Credit Card used for the transaction;
      4. Card transaction slip with the approval code and official receipt (either original or a photo of the receipt is acceptable)

        IMPORTANT: Failure to submit any of the required proof and documentation is a ground for disqualification.
    3. Qualified winners must claim their prizes within sixty (60) days from receipt of mail notification. Failure to claim within the allotted time/duration forfeits the winner’s right over the prize in favour of UnionBank with prior DTI approval.
    4. The raffle winners agree to have his/her name and photo included in all advertisements and other related material.

  8. General Conditions:
    1. Prizes are transferable but non-convertible to cash.
    2. All taxes for prizes shall be shouldered by UnionBank. Should winners opt for delivery, charges will be applied and is shouldered by the winner.
    3. All claims for prizes shall be subject to verification and authentication. Fraudulent claims shall be dealt with in accordance with law.

    5.
